Ahold Delhaize Pride is a proud group of colleagues who are committed to all LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) people within our organization and anyone else who has an affinity for this. We want to create a place where people can find each other to talk about LGBTQ+ diversity and inclusion.
We want to do this by organizing various events including workshops, lectures and get-togethers. In addition, we pay attention to various national LGBTQ+ and Pride events, such as the Amsterdam Pride or Pink Monday. Hi everyone, I’m Chevaly, currently living in Zoetermeer but born and raised in Suriname. Albert Heijn is my first employer since living in The Netherlands and after all of these years I still enjoy working for the company. During this time I had the pleasant opportunity to take on different roles, and currently I am Manager Vers at one of the largest Albert Heijn XL Stores in The Hague . One of the things I enjoy most about my job is interacting with people. Moreover, I find it especially important to create an environment that is supportive and inspires growth. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends and also enjoy riding my motorcycle. When I was asked to be a board member of the Ahold Delhaize Pride group, I immediately said yes. I see this as a great opportunity to help create more visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, and in my role as community builder I aim to build a platform where everyone can be themselves and can openly communicate and connect with one another. Currently I'm also a volunteer at the COC Nederland, where I am a confidential Counselor.

Hello everyone! I'm Djordan Papilaya, a 27-year-old living in the city of Amsterdam. By day, you'll find me in the tech department at Albert Heijn. Outside the office, you'll likely catch me at the gym, at my favourite yoga studios, and showcasing my barista skills in a cafe over the weekends. As a proud member of the queer community, creating a safe and inclusive environment is something I'm committed to. This commitment extends not only to my personal life but also to my professional journey. That's precisely why I've joined AD Pride — to contribute towards fostering a workplace where everyone feels secure and free to express their authentic selves. I am looking forward to making a positive impact within this incredible organisation!

Hi! First of all, welcome at Ahold Delhaize Pride! I am happy to see the great response to our initiative and the large number of responses to our first messages. Thanks to you, LGBTIQ+ diversity and inclusion gains importance within Ahold Delhaize. To introduce myself; I am Frits, 28 years old, living in Amsterdam. I have been working within the Global Support Office (GSO) Legal team since three years. My work is largely focused on Privacy and Data Protection. I am looking forward to keep on promoting LGBTQI+ diversity and inclusion at Ahold Delhaize! See you soon!

Hey there! My name is Jasper, and I am soon to be 29 years old. I was born and bred in Amsterdam. Within this fantastic group of people, I am responsible for our internal strategy. That means that I further our mission within HQ and ensure we move forward on our strategic goals. This year, our focus will be on local community building. The goal is to provide a network and resources for ALL our LGBTQI+ employees. Next to being on the board of Ahold Delhaize Pride, I work for Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall&Gall in the Data Science and Analytics department. My team optimises the entire supply chain by leveraging data and algorithms. Hopefully see or speak to you soon at one of our events!

Hello everyone, I'm Luuk, 32 years old and I currently work as Specialist Capacity at Albert Heijn. I've been living in Amsterdam for quite some time and I really like it around here. In my spare time I like swimming and cycling and I can often be found in the Amsterdam nightlife. I'm also busy as a board member of the Homomonument in Amsterdam. I think it is very important that our associates immediately feel safe to be themselves. That is the main reason I joined the board of Ahold Delhaize Pride.

Hi there!!! My name is Sarith and I am 32 years old. I live in Capelle aan den IJssel with my wife and our son Xavier (2). Since June 2022, I have been part of this cool group of people who make up the board of Ahold Delhaize Pride. Not much longer before that (March 2022), I started my career at Albert Heijn Online as Improvement Specialist. In my spare time, I love to cook, try to come up with inspiring vegan recipes and, of course, spend a lot of time at the playground/petting zoo/park with my son. I sincerely hope that our efforts from AD Pride ensure that everyone within our organization can be completely themselves and enjoy a safe and friendly working atmosphere. And of course that we will have many wonderful moments together!

I am Tom van den Hoven, living in the centre of Utrecht with my partner and cat. I work at ETOS as a Category Manager for Promotions. Since 2023, I have been part of this super fun board of Ahold Delhaize Pride, focusing primarily on organizing events alongside Sarith. I enjoy playing football, kickboxing, paddleboarding, or playing board games in my free time. Hopefully, I'll see you at one of our events soon! 😊
