Who are we?
What do we want to achieve? Young Ahold Delhaize Serbia is a group that connects our young employees on a voluntary basis to develop together, learn from each other and make work fun. We encourage further professional development of young colleagues in Delhaize Sebia and encourage them on a further career path through understanding and responding to development needs and increasing the visibility and voice of young people through the organization. We share knowledge and best practices among colleagues, learn more about the expertise of others, as well as different parts of the organization and key processes, in order to get to know and cooperate better. We get to know each other better, spend more time together, get involved in various informal activities to add a fun side to the work.

Hi, I'm Jelena! I made my first career steps in the company Delhaize Serbia during my student days, in 2016, through the Brand Ambassador program. My ticket to the first real position in the supply chain was awesome Find Your Place program. After the position of supply chain specialist and the position of Flow Management Expert, I came to the Operations sector, where all flows are initiated and completed. As a district manager, I currently have the honor of leading a team of nearly 200 members. I joined YAD Serbia with the goal of motivating and encouraging young people who work in our stores to be more visible, more open, meet colleagues from other sectors, develop their knowledge, connect and socialize. Wherever we work, it is important to be in a pleasant environment, to enjoy and have fun. I consider myself an energetic person, I adore the sun and staying in nature, and I express my dose of creativity in the kitchen, inventing new combinations of tastes.

Hello everyone, I am Mina Dobrodolac, I started my career in Delhaize Serbia in 2018 in the financial sector and I am currently working as a Real estate and Portfolio Analyst. I am glad that my position in practice is actually much more exciting and dynamic than the name itself. Ever since the founding of the YDS Group, I have had the desire to become part of the board. I am grateful that we became so close during the pandemic, despite most of the virtual events. Now that I am part of the board, I want to express my satisfaction and use this opportunity to connect people, to do humane, fun and intelligent things. We want to dedicate ourselves to personal development, but also to the development of the company, and our goal is to achieve this by making contacts and spreading awareness about this wonderful initiative.The YDS group makes me happy, and I suggest that you do what makes you happy so that you stay motivated.

At a very young age, I got the chance to become a part of a large retail company, so I can freely say that in my career sense, Delhaize Serbia "raised" me. Delhaize is also my first encounter with the corporate culture and way of working of a large company. I walked through the door of our company a little over two years ago, and the experience I gained is equal to five years. I started my career as an information systems administrator. In that team, I was in charge of the complete IT infrastructure of the company, and I often like to say that this position is one of the main pillars, because it is a great responsibility to ensure the smooth operation of all business processes. This position taught me to work in a dynamic environment, and how important teamwork and communication among colleagues is. Since June 2022, I have continued my career in the supply chain, as a specialist in business process improvement. I also represent Young people in our company, as part of the board members of Young Ahold Delhaize Serbia. This group of young people is a place where new ideas, initiatives and acquaintances are born. As I have already said, Delhaize Serbia is a company in which I have gained a lot of experience, but I was most impressed by the people, which is a sufficient indicator of the working environment.

Hello there fellow youngsters. I am Nikola Dimitrijević, one of the members of the board of YDS. I joined the Ahold Delhaize family in June 2020 and work as Plastic packaging and Chemicals Specialist and together with my team mates from Sustainability and Environmental Protection, we are trying to make this planet a better place to live. I graduated at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy at the University of Belgrade as a Biochemical engineer. When YDS officially launched last year, I was pleasantly surprised that besides all the work, there is actually something where you can forget about the stress, mails and meetings (something like checkpoints in video games) and have fun with your colleagues. Why did I join the board of YDS? Well, I'm going to do my best to spread awareness of the issue I'm working on here in company through workshops and volunteer activities, and also to meet my colleagues, because the last few years have been....well, you know, not so fun, because of the covid. What else could I tell you about me? I am a big fan of music (like really), I wake up and go to sleep with music. I'm also an passionate vinyl collector, recently started with hiking, love to travel, cook (even though I'm not really good at it, but hey, you have to start somewhere) and I am a huge fan of the horror movie genre. I hope to have a chance to introduce myself even better, so until then, stay safe, I look forward to meeting you all!
